SERVICE AGREEMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLLMENT

SERVICE AGREEMENT :

Applicant/enrollee agrees to the following terms and conditions: Agreement made by and between the Applicant whose name and address are listed above, hereinafter referred to as the "applicant," and Medical Coding Experts hereinafter will be referred to as the "MCE School".

  1. Warranty of Information. Applicant agrees that by submission of this electronic application, the applicant warrants that all the information submitted to Medical Coding Experts is correct to the best of the applicant's knowledge.
  2. Assessment Outcome. Applicant understands that the applicant may be required to do additional reading, projects or course work if, after an assessment performed by Medical Coding Experts, the applicant fails to achieve enough academic credits to fulfill the Online Training program.
  3. Additional Studies. Additional Studies. Both parties agree that, pursuant provision 2 as stated above, the selection of additional reading materials, project(s) or course work, while primarily left up to the student, must be mutually agreed to by both parties prior to the commencement of any additional reading, studies, projects or course work. The objective is to assist the applicant in choosing a guided self study program which will fulfill the Medical Coding Experts requirements for the award of Certificate of completion.
  4. School Assistance. The School further agrees to assist the applicant with the selection of additional reading materials, project(s) or courses if required by the School before the certificate of completion. The applicant is responsible for the purchase of any reading materials, cost of project(s), additional course work or any materials involved in additional required study.
  5. Limited Liability. Applicant agrees that in no event, shall any liability to the School as a result of this agreement, or other circumstances involving the applicant and School, exceed the applicants tuition and processing fee which has been paid up to the time during which any claim deriving liability may arise.
  6. Refund Policy and Fees:Refunds are granted in accordance with the refund policy listed herein. The school shall issue a refund via postal mail to the applicant as outlined herein within thirty (30) days of receipt of the Signed Notice of Cancellation Form. Refunds: Pursuant the refund schedule listed below, the time shall commence from the date in which the applicant was issued a user name and password by the School. This refund option is only for the HL7 Training, ICD-10 Analyst Training and ICD-10 Code Set Training..
    • 100% refund - 1st through the 5th day
    • 50% refund - 6th through the 30th day
    • 0% refund - After 30 days
  7. Titles/Captions/Headings.Titles, captions, or headings to any provision of this contract are descriptive only and of no legal effect. This agreement has the full force and effect as if no titles existed.
  8. Purchase Statement.

    Both parties further agree that by the submission of this document through electronic means, no written signature shall be required by either party and that the agreement shall be in effect as of the time and date of submission by the applicant. "I understand that the School (Medical Coding Experts) is not accredited by an accrediting body approved by the United States Department of Education. I understand that courses and curriculums offered by the School may not meet specific state licensing requirements. I understand that I am responsible for ascertaining whether or not course and/or degree programs at Medical Coding Experts, will meet any and all licensing, certification, and/or job requirements. I understand that Medical Coding Experts is not a job placement service organization and that there are no services for job placement. I understand that all employers have their own rights to define job requirements and qualifications for jobs and hiring and that Medical Coding Experts does not guarantee job placements or acceptance of courses or degrees by any employers or potential employers.

    I further understand that there are no guarantees provided by the School related to acceptance of courses, credits or degrees for entry into or by another school. I understand that each school has rights to establish its own policies, standards and requirements related to acceptance of credits, courses and degrees and I understand that it is my responsibility to ascertain whether or not a school or schools will accept courses, credits or degrees that are earned at Medical Coding Experts. I understand that any courses, credits, or degrees awarded by the School are not accredited by an accreditor that is approved by the US Department of Education, and not accredited by a country’s Department of Ministry of Higher Education. I further understand that since the School is not accredited by an accreditor approved by the US Department of Education, the School is not eligible to participate in any federal student aide programs, including grants/loans, or the US GI Bill.

  9. Severance.The provisions of this agreement are independent of each other and are, therefore, severable. If any provision or a part thereof is finally declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that invalidity shall not affect the validity of any remaining provision or part thereof within this agreement.
  10. Entire Agreement.Both parties herein agree that the terms and conditions listed herein constitutes the entire agreement between both parties and that no other verbal or implied conditions or expressed warranties were offered other than those which are listed herein. This agreement supersedes and replaces any prior or contemporaneous agreements, written or oral, relating to this agreement. This agreement may be amended by the School by sending the applicant a thirty (30) day written notice of modification. By applying to the School (Medical Coding Experts) I hereby agree to the following: That all the information contained herein is correct and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that should any information submitted by the applicant be found to be false or misleading, the applicant may be dismissed from enrollment at the School (Medical Coding Experts) and any or all credits granted or earned may be forfeited. That the applicant is eighteen years of age or older or has submitted a parental consent form. I have read and understand all of the above listed terms and conditions and that by submission of this document I agree to all of the above listed terms and conditions. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto executed this Service Agreement by means of electronic transmission via the internet on the date transmitted. ––with application transmission online, or with printed application.
  11. Certification Examination Challenge:If you don’t pass the CPC (Sponsored by the www.aapc.com) or CCA (Sponsored by the www.ahima.org) examination, CMBS ( Sponsored by the MAB), CMRS Sponsored by the AMBA, we will refund the 70% of the Tuition fees. Complete the training with final assessment within 8 months.
  12. Should score 75% or above in the final test sponsored by the Medesun (10 Retakes are allowed)
  13. Apply for the CPC/CCA/CMBS/CMRS exam within 4 months after the final assessment.
  14. Go through the 3 sets of sample papers in detail ( Included in the training)
  15. Inform Medesun that you have registered for the CPC/CCA/CMBS/CMRS and send copy of the registration. Medesun will provide the access to the Tips and Techniques help you to get certified by advanced certification training once you register for the exam.
  16. Take the CPC/CCA/CMBS/CMRS exam.
  17. You will receive your CPC/CCA/CMBS/CMRS exam score within 3-6 Weeks Please visit the Respective websites.
  18. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you may retake the CPC/CCA/CMBS/CMRS exam once at no additional charge ( CPC: 1 Retake is allowed, CMRS 2 Retakes are allowed, for Others please check with respective organizations)
  19. Retake the CPC/CCA/CMBS/CMRS exam.
  20. You will receive your second CPC/CCA/CMBS/CMRS exam score within four to six weeks.
  21. If you do not pass on your second attempt, Send a copy of your non-passing score results from the second CPC/CCA/CMBS/CMRS exam to Medesun.
  22. Medesun will refund the 70% of the Tuition fees.
  23. Certification is not required to start your career as a Medical Coder/Medical Biller, but can help to get better job opportunities and increased income .
